Picnic Day - Limited Library services: Lambton Library will be open for its regular opening hours on Friday 29 November for City of Newcastle Picnic Day. Please see information below regarding library member access to Lambton Library.
Lambton Library is a building with local historic significance. In early 2022, major refurbishment was completed to reclaim its former glory and provide Newcastle Libraries members with an improved and brand new way of accessing library services.
Lambton Library uses Open+ technology to enable our members over the age of sixteen to access this branch anytime between 7am and 9pm, seven days a week. Members under sixteen are welcome to access the library in the company of a parent or carer.
Members use their library membership number or barcode plus PIN to securely enter the building, and the Open+ system safely manages and monitors access and use of the space.
Directional signage and self-service technology enables members to return and check-out items on their own. Additional information is also available on accessing public Wi-Fi, public PCs and other services within the branch.
