Christmas Closure: Our libraries will be closed from 12pm on Tuesday 23 December for the holiday period. Regular hours will resume at Newcastle and Wallsend Libraries from Saturday 3 January. Regular hours at all our other libraries will resume from Monday 5 January.

From 3pm on weekdays, you can access Wallsend Library using your library membership number or barcode and PIN to securely enter the building using our Open+ system.

Not a member? Joining is free and easy and you can join online or in person at any library branch.
