Picnic Day - Limited Library services: This library will be closed on Friday 29 November for City of Newcastle Picnic Day. Limited Library services will be available. Return chutes will be open at all libraries (except Lambton). Newcastle and Wallsend libraries will be open 9.30am-5pm. Normal hours resume on Saturday 30 November.

The Digital Library is a self-service library located at 12 Stewart Avenue Newcastle West. Located near the Transport Interchange, the Digital Library is a convenient hub to pick up the latest releases from our ‘Grab and Go’ collection, browse our digital collections, use a computer, collect your library holds, and engage with our unique Newcastle Stories through the interactive Digital Story Wall.
The Digital Library is the home of the Podcast & Media Room. This space is equipped with a Rodecaster Pro-Podcast Production Studio and green screen and can be booked for sound recording, video conferencing and filming.
Looking for space to study or to escape the home office? The Digital Library is equipped with Wi-Fi, powered booth seating and a large co-working table where you can plug in your laptop. With abundant natural light and coffee right next door it’s the perfect place to settle in for some quiet focus time.
