Our Spaces
Our branches offer a variety of free community spaces including children’s and youth zones, quiet reading rooms and study areas, group study rooms, work spaces, and a Makerspace. We also have a bookable Podcast and Media Room with sound recording equipment, conference facilities and a green screen at our Digital Library in Newcastle West.
We welcome group visits to our Libraries from pre-schools, schools, community groups and organisations. Visit our new Digital Library and meet Pepper the Robot, explore the amazing content on the huge interactive Story Wall, see our 3D printer in action and interact with digitised content showcasing treasures from our Heritage Collection in the Magic Box.Take a tour of the War Memorial Cultural Centre or Wallsend Library, peak into our Rare Book room or go behind the scenes of the library. All tours are free and storytime sessions can be arranged for our younger visitors.
