eSmart, an initiative of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, helps parents, teachers, librarians and the community to manage cyber risks, bullying and cyber bullying so that students feel safer and supported. Newcastle Libraries is proud to be an accredited eSmart library service. We are committed to guiding the smart, safe, and responsible use of digital technology and support wellbeing outcomes for all members of our community.

Bullying. No Way! is managed by the Safe and Supportive School Communities (SSSC) Working Group. Members work together to help schools to create learning environments where every student and school community member is safe, supported, respected and valued.
Kids Helpline
Kids Helpline is Australia’s only free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Kids Helpline has been a life-saving experience, while for others it’s about practical help and emotional support at the critical moment they need someone to listen.
Thinkuknow
Thinkuknow is an education programme which protects children both online and offline, choose one of their six websites to learn how to stay safe when using on a phone, tablet or computer. Their new educational materials focus on live streaming and supporting children to stay safe if they are using these platforms.
NetSmartz
NetSmartz is a place where the public and electronic service providers can report suspected online and offline child sexual exploitation. The millions of reports made each year uniquely situate NCMEC to identify trends and create prevention resources to address the evolving needs of kids and teens online.
