Study Spaces
Need a quiet space to study? Many Newcastle Libraries branches have spaces set aside so you can study away from the home or office.
All locations have free access to Wi-Fi. If you would like to become a library member, visit our Join pages for more information.

Adamstown Library has:
- 2 study rooms with tables, chairs and power points (ideal for individual and group study sessions)
- Mobile device charge bar for powering up mobile phones and tablets
- Adamstown Library also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use.

Beresfield Library has a study area available with a table and chairs at the back of the building. Access to power points and a mobile device charge bar are available. Beresfield Library also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use.

Hamilton Library features a study room with power point access suitable for laptop set up. Hamilton also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use as well as a mobile device charge bar.
No need to book, just drop in.
Lambton Library has a small area suitable for laptop set up. Library members can connect to W-Fi for unlimited free access. Lambton Library also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use.
Mayfield Library features a number of tables throughout the branch suitable for laptop set up. Many spaces have access to power points. Mayfield Library also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use as well as a mobile device charge bar.
New Lambton Library's Community Room is an ideal study space for students. It is available for use when there are no events scheduled. New Lambton Library also provides access to photocopying, printing and computer use.
The Community Room features:
- Tables and chairs set away from the main library suitable for quiet study
- Mobile device charge bar for powering up mobile phones and tablets
- Access to exclusive use of the room (ideal for group study sessions) for a booking fee.
