Make N Do - Newcastle City Library

Make N Do is a creative, hands-on program for adults all about curiosity, connection and making.

Led by resident artist Ken O’Regan, participants will explore ideas drawn from history, science and our current exhibitions. Through guided activities and open-ended exploration, this program encourages creativity, sparks conversation, and builds new connections.

During September, participants will be working together to produce paper lamp decorations for the New Annual Art Party.

The lamps are inspired by the history of Newcastle's Electric Lamp Manufacturing Australia (ELMA) company that was in Clyde Street, Hamilton and Australia's largest lamp manufacturing in the 20th century.

Working together, we spark creativity, build new connections, and learn through shared exploration. 

All materials and supplies are provided — just bring your curiosity and willingness to make!
