Celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day with our Great Book Swap Extravaganza!

Join us for The Great Book Swap, an event that supports the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) to raise funds for culturally appropriate books and literacy programs for Indigenous kids. Bring a book along, swap it for another and donate to the ILF.

Our celebrations kick off with Uncle Amos sharing language and culture through stories and song. A screening of the Indigenous Literacy Day Film and a live stream event will follow, with light refreshments and a morning of book swapping to follow.

Event times:

  • 10am – Uncle Amos sharing language and culture through song, dance, puppets
  • 10:30am – Live film screening – Indigenous Literacy Day FILM
  • 10:50am – A 45-minute Livestream event direct from The Sydney Opera House, where special guests such as Lucas Proudfoot, Bianca Hunt, Josh Pyke, Andy Griffiths will host performances celebrating Aboriginal storytelling.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference together! See you there!

Free event, tea and coffee provided. No bookings required, drop in.
