Dagger and Fox
13: Dagger and Fox, Peter Masters 2018
This is a conceptual portrait of a strong, independent woman. The fox symbolises the feminine magic of camouflage and shape shifting. The Celts believed that if a fox crossed your path, it was time to act passionately in regard to your goals, your needs and your wants. The fox is a teacher - shows humans how to overcome fear, particularly of the unknown. And the red fox in particular tells us to live life with passion.
Here the woman is depicted as naked and vulnerable but the dagger in her hand shows that she has power and she can act to change her life.
