Author Talk: Gary Lonesborough - Newcastle City Library

6 - 7pm

Please join us in celebrating the 5th birthday of our popular Young Adult Book Club and the release of Good Young Men, from award-winning author Gary Lonesborough. This is a superb contemporary coming of age novel about three small-town Aboriginal friends finding their way to adulthood. In the idyllic coastal town of Carraway's Point, four Aboriginal boys - Kallum, Jordy, Dylan and Brandon - grew up together on Chopin Drive, carefree and close. But they drifted apart in high school, with everything changing the night Brandon was killed by a white cop.

Gary will be in-conversation with fellow young adult novelist, Will Kostakis to dive into important themes around queer representation, identity, community and place.

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet Gary and join in our birthday celebrations. Books will be available from MacLean’s Booksellers after the talk and Gary will be signing copies.

Light refreshments will be on offer.

Ages: Teens and adults of all ages welcome
