Bring your much-loved broken items back to life at the Newcastle Libraries Repair Café! Now held on the first Saturday of every second month at various library and community locations across Newcastle.

A repair cafe is a place where skilled repairers meet non-repairers to teach them skills to fix things. Featured repair skills will include small furniture, small hand tools, and clothing.

This free bumper event will also feature a plant/seed swap hosted by Newcastle Seed Library volunteers. Bring along seedlings, plants, seeds, gardening magazines and tools to swap.

Plus a free Wallsend Op Shop Tour hosted by Mardi Lee from French for Tuesday. Bookings are essential, book in via the Wallsend Op Shop Trail listing. The tour will begin and end at the Repair Cafe, with participants walking to Nelson St, Wallsend and visiting several op shops. Participants will learn about low waste living and receive tips for making the most of their op shop experience.

Morning tea provided.
