The Zine Collection Launch - Newcastle City Library

Join us at the Newcastle City Library to celebrate the vibrant world of zines and explore their rich culture, creative processes, and underground significance as we launch our new zine collection. 
 
 Zines have been vital to Newcastle's arts scene for over 40 years, providing a voice for marginalized communities often overlooked by mainstream publishing. 

Our featured guests, Vanessa Berry, Nina Katzmarski, and Bastian Fox, will engage in a panel discussion led by James Turvey. They'll share their experiences of collaboration, creativity, and the supportive community that zine-making fosters.

Mini Zine Market - 2-4:30pm: Discover and connect with local zine makers, collectors, and enthusiasts.

Panel Discussion - 2:30-3:15pm: Zine makers share their experiences of collaboration, creativity, and being part of a supportive, nurturing community. Free, bookings essential.

Zine Making Workshop - 3:30-4:30pm: Get hands-on and create your own zine, immersing yourself in the DIY ethos of zine culture. Free, bookings essential.
