From 3pm until close on weekdays, access to Wallsend Library will change to enhance your visit to the library.
What's Happening?
- From 3pm on weekdays, members will use their library membership number or barcode and PIN to securely enter the building using our Open+ system.
- There is no change to library opening hours. The only change is to how the library is accessed from 3pm on weekdays.
- There is no change to staffing and our team is here to help.
- If you don't have your library card, membership number or PIN, you can speak to library staff via the intercom system at the main entrance to enter the library.
What can visitors expect?
- This change will take place from Monday 28 April 2025.
- If you’re a library member, scan your library card or enter your membership number and PIN at the entrance to access the library.
- Not a member? Joining the library is free and easy. Visit any library branch or join online to get your membership number and PIN.
- If you forget your card, staff are still here to help. Just press the intercom button at the entrance.
Download the Newcastle Libraries app and always have your library card with you, wherever you go.
If you have any further questions or if you’re unsure of your PIN, please don’t hesitate to ask our team. You can speak to staff in person, call us on (02) 4974 5300 or email us at [email protected].
