School Holidays: Map Illustration Workshop - Wallsend Library

Children step into the imaginative world of YOU & ME and The Land of Lost Things to create their own fantasy map illustration using coffee staining, pencils and ink pens.
In this hands-on creative session, kids will explore visual storytelling as they design maps inspired by Andy Griffiths and Bill Hope’s book. Guided drawing prompts help them dream up imaginative world locations and use line drawing techniques such as hatching and crosshatching to add natural features and detail.
The YOU & ME and The Land of Lost Things play adaptation is coming to Civic Theatre on Tuesday 14 April - making this the perfect creative warm up for young fans.
Young adventurers will leave with a one-of-a-kind map of their very own Land of Lost Things.
