The Magic Table
Come and use our Magic Table!
The Magic Table uses interactive light projected onto a table to stimulate and engage people with cognitive disabilities or dementia. Because the colourful objects respond to hand and arm movements, participants play with the light images reflected on the table. The interactive games enable both physical and cognitive activity and encourage social interaction. The series of games are specifically designed for these groups and are available in different levels of complexity for the user.
Please visit Wallsend Library to have a play. It is free to use during library opening hours.
Contact the Program Lead, Newcastle Libraries at library@ncc.nsw.gov.auor call (02) 4974 5302 if you would like to arrange a group booking.
